The Fall and Rebirth Of The Dragon Kingdom

The Kingdom of Dradrigon (THE FALL)



Dawn crept in with the sweet sound of birds chirping and singing.The wind blew softly bringing in a cool breeze along with the scent of Spring and freshly made bread for the day.Foot steps echoed throughout the Castle as everyone were being doing their duties.Dragon roars were heard from their enclosures within the gates of the Castle.It seemed to be peaceful.No one was expecting the chaos,destruction and death that was to follow later that morning.

Princess Kaida hid under how covers of pink silk.She didn't want to wake up and start her normal day of "Princess" lessons.Lessons that is needed in order to help prepare her for when she took over the throne.Since she is the only child of the King the duty of falls upon her and her alone.Kaida's hand maiden came in and preceded to take the blankets from the little 5 year old Princess and cox her to start her day.

Kaida reluctantly got up after having them ripped from her.She didn't like that fact but she knew she had to get going and to go through her day.She looked forward to Riding lessons and to her free time.Those were the second best moments to her.The first being the times she spent with her parents.Those were few but those who the most precious to her even at he young age.She already shown traits of being a kind,strong,and wise leader.Despite her childish moments she was quite mature for her age as well.

After getting dressed and eating her small breakfast of various kinds of fruit Kaida decided to go over to the bed of velvet that her Dragon Egg sat upon and to admire it.They say that a dragon laid on egg the color of a great ruler's eyes the day that ruler is born.This was the case for the Princess.The egg reflected her sapphire eyes.She was destined for greatness one day.As she admired her dragon egg the Warning Bells started to ring. 

Chaos erupted quickly.Kaida was quickly rushed through a secret passage way in her room that lead out to the river along with an satchel containing her dragon egg.She heard the cries of the dragons being slayed as her hand maiden pushed her into the river with a log to hold on to.Only way to insure that the Princess survived the attack.She almost drowned as the currents lead her to a small village a fair distance from the Kingdom.She was found by the Librarian and his wife.They had no children of their own and decided to take Kaida in and raise her as their own.




The Present (15 YEARS LATER)


Kaida tossed and turned in her firm and uncomfortable bed.She finally awoken to the sound of her own screams.Quickly she sat up and brushed her straight silky black hair from her face and she let out a soft sigh.Just another dream she thought to herself.Since she never knew what happened to her parents her dreams tend to torture her.Every so often now she dreamt of them.Different dream each time but the same ending,them dying.Being brought up by the Librarian and his wife did have it advantages in her opinion.She knew before most about any news at all.Which is why she knew her parents were dead.Details were not discussed but it was common knowledge that The King and Queen died during the siege 15 years ago and the Princess was assumed dead as well.With everyone thinking she was dead she was free to grow up and not be hunted which worked for Kaida.

Another advantage is that she had access to all the books in the library even the ones in the Restricted Area.Books of common knowledge,different races and their history,spell books and books on dragons....Everything that she learned from each page will one day come in handy.She planned to take back her birth home,revenge her parents,and over throw the current ruler and take back the throne.She knew the Kingdom deserved a better ruler then the cruel man that calls himself the Emperor.Deep down though she was not completely sure if she was exactly what the Kingdom needed though but she was willing to fight and die if she had to for a better future for everyone.

After Kaida was done with her thoughts she got up and got dressed for the day.She also wore what was typically for a female traveler that isn't a dress.She hated dresses and always felt like she was a useless young woman that always needed a man by her side to protect and provide for her,whenever she was forced to wear one.Unlike most females she is very strong-willed,capable,opened minded and very opinionated,and will speak her mind.A trait that most males she tried dating hated about her and she didn't care really.She wasn't going to change for anyone and she is quite content with how she was and will always remain true to herself.

After she was done dressing she exited her room and went directly to the kitchen where breakfast was already finished and waiting to be devoured.The Librarian and his wife was already sitting at the table,their plates almost empty.Kaida grabbed the bacon,toast and eggs.She ate in silence.Words were not really needed in the mornings.Everyone knew what had to be done first thing anyways.When she finished her breakfast she quickly washed the dishes she had used and started to head downstairs to the Library,the living area is above the Library so she didn't have to go far.Which leaves more time to get things in the library in order before she opened the doors for the public.It didn't take her long to get everything in order and never does actually.She always kept on things while she was working in the library and every night before bed she checks everything and gets stuff ready for the morning before she retires for the night.

Once she was satisfied that every was ready and in order she opened the library's doors and sat behind the desk where those who had questions or needed anything goes to.She took a book out from one of the desk's drawers and started reading where she left off previously.Another dragon book but this one was about raising them after they hatched.She keep an eye on the door and a ear out in case anyone entered.

* Please keep ALL Out Of Character discussion in the OOC thread only [ misguidedspirits.boards.net/thread/18/ooc-fall-rebirth-dragon-kingdom ]
* Please do not use outside knowledge in your posts and do not act like your character can't die,be defeated or fail.This may be a fantasy roleplay but please be somewhat realistic and logical.Not being realistic and posting unfair/logical sucks the fun out of this for many.Also the more serious and more experienced roleplayers hate it and will most likely leave the roleplay or just stop posting in this thread without a word said by them .Besides losing people in here is less fun for all...Also I don't really like "Godmoding" myself and would love if no one does it in general on this forum.

Other then that anything else goes.

• Since everyone is welcomed to post in here no matter their skill level I ask for the more experienced roleplayers to please be respectful to and be patient with any beginners that may join this roleplay.Everyone was a beginner at one time.You can guide and help them but do not be hateful and rude.
• If for any reason you decide to leave this roleplay please give everyone a heads up in the OOC Thread and please write a post in here that your character is leaving that fits in with what is currently going on with the story.This way everyone knows what is going on and how they can go on from there.
• If for any reason you leave this roleplay you are always welcome to return if/when you choose to.Returners and new people are always welcome to this thread anytime.When returning add your character to the story and react to what is currently going on.You can always do flash backs in order to make up what happened to your character after they left the story if you choose to.Flash backs are not expected or required.
